As summer approaches and the school year comes to a close, A Step Forward is proud to share exciting updates from our latest efforts in expanding our mission to provide shoes to those in need. This season marks a period of both reflection and renewed momentum for our team.
This semester, we hosted a successful school-wide shoe drive at Carlmont High School. We placed donation boxes in every 1st period classroom and launched a friendly competition to see which class could donate the most pairs. The winning class donated an impressive 42 pairs and was rewarded with a well-deserved pizza party! Thanks to the support of students and staff, we collected approximately 450 pairs of shoes in total—a new record for Carlmont and a significant step forward for our organization.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to making donating as easy and accessible as possible. We continue to accept shoe donations through our school drives, local events, and community partnerships. If you would like to support us further, we are currently raising funds to purchase new, durable donation bins that can serve more schools and community centers year-round.
